I'm not sure where to begin with World Cup Gold. First off, Skywind Group does an excellent job during the load screen. Capturing childhood memories by including the colors of Uno during your rotating load screen is top-notch. Similar tactic's have been used to grab our attention. Think of that screen saver that scrolls aimlessly across your screen; never to align with any corner perfectly.

That was before I even saw the game itself; and boy was I in for a surprise. Aside from the nostalgic beginning, first thoughts of World Cup Gold instantly bring Jackie Chan into mind. Yes, the famous martial artist; worldwide movie legend. But why? Simply because of the overseas appeal I get from this game! The colors, the graphics, everything. Throw in a game of Tekken or Street Fighter and we could have some seriously late nights here.

Honestly, it's the mid 1980's in America, and Jackie Chan is hot on the scene. Subtitles and horrendous acting all left for observation, as the kung-fu master is center-stage. What a time to be alive. But did you know Jackie Chan might have a hard time answering who he might bet on in a Manchester City v. China World Cup match? Chan would have stuck to his roots with China, however, after a 2012 visit from Manchester City, where Chan was ambassador, set the stage for friendships, and a life long fan of Manchester City from Chan.

Back to the main course. This machine is very high on my rotation list. Having sat down in several different instances, I always left with a smile; never regret.
