Baseball Fever

There came a time in 1998 that the MLB decided it was time for expansion; so, they added the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Arizona Diamond Backs. I was young and thought the new ball clubs were the neatest thing. I even played on at least one of them in youth baseball. Anyway, Tony Clark, MLB Player's Association executive director, has said the goal is to get the league from 30 teams to 32 sooner than later; with support from commissioner Rob Manfred.

Some suggestions of new ball park locations that are of interest are Las Vegas, Charlotte, Portland, etc. Apparently, there is no shortage of possibilities, and the same to be said for new ownerships. The main issue is maintaining the integrity of MLB and bringing current stadiums up to code prior to any new franchises breaking ground. Current franchises with stadium issues are the Oakland Athletics, and surprisingly, the Tampa Bay Rays. The more the merrier in my opinion. However, I do feel for stat junkies, and the loose transparency between the players of yesterday and today.

KA Gaming is just another provider welcome to the baseball slot community. Baseball Fever will certainly bring up the temps starting with a rather intriguing wild feature. So, a wild symbol falls into place on the top reel of the machine. The symbol will then cascade down twice increasing the wild 2 additional times making it a 3X. Additionally, if the real falls in the middle, it will cascade down 1 spot to the bottom, making it a 2X win. Finally, if it falls on the bottom, it's just a 1X wild win. Kind of corky, but adds that spice it was missing.

All-in-all a slightly better than mediocre game. Gameplay and playability are top notch. Graphics and audio are par for the course. Some negatives include the lack of options in auto-play, as there aren't any; and the game doesn't hurry up. What I mean is, it hardly wants to go into fast forward with all persistent mouse-clicks. Not a deal breaker, just patience issues on my end.
